They’re our children and friends
who faced an early end
Why did you take them, God?
Was it because they struggled so?
Many others have used drugs,
why did these ones have to go?
Why did you take them, God?
We all want to know
Was it because they shot drugs in their arm?
Was it too painful to witness their self-harm?
Or was it because they couldn’t stop
Your precious human flesh turning to rot
They were once so beautiful, created to win
Now dancing with the devil, living in sin
Did they call your name God?
DID YOU HEAR THEIR PLEAS???
Did they cry out for help,
down on their knees?
Why couldn’t you stop them?
Why did they have to go?
Why oh why God
