I just received a text from my husband. One of his friends has just finished Jagged Little Edges and he wanted me to know how ‘impressed’ he was with the book and that it ‘woke’ something up in him. My husbands friend is what those of my generation might consider a ‘manly, man.’ Thoughts and feelings are definitely not on their list of topics for conversation. Now my husbands friend may not know this, but when something is ‘awoken’ in you, we call it a spiritual awakening, or an awakening of the conscious. Either way you are ‘more’ than you were. It’s like having brand new eyes to see and appreciate the beauty we are so profoundly surrounded in, each and every day, IF, we know how to look.
